Thoughts

My dear brother, we never ever had an argument, and there are not many siblings who can claim that. ( except of course the time you claimed I pushed you in the stream when in fact I was rescuing you from drowning!) I miss you so much , Barbs xxx

I spent 4 years working in the bakery in Bugle and living with Michael in Grampound. I have very fond Memories of that time, never to be forgotten. My mother came to live two doors away for the last 3 years of her life. Michael was very kind to her and she loved him. I left to work (upcountry) we kept in touch for a few years, but later unfortunately lost contact. Kind regards to his family, I would love to have a chat with Barbera. Robert. 01209 481780. How sad am I now having learned of his death, shortly after moving back here to retire.

Rest in peace, dear Mike I have many happy memories of my times with him in Cornwall. I remember Mike turning up for dinner with me and my friend Janet in Port Isaac in a Cornish kilt. Most of the staff at the Slipway in Port Isaac had never seen the like, but the manager recognised a true Cornishman. If I recall correctly, he had a free drink on the house as a result. He was also the only person I know whose cards I needed to translate, a) because they were in Cornish, and b) because of his writing...... only remember Mike being 'out of Cornwall' twice - once for an unexpected visit to us in Northamptonshire, but the first time was when I took him to Wembley Stadium in 1986 to see Queen + Status Quo. Great times. Benatugana, Mike, from Nick B.
